Keynote Speaker
Kavitta Ghai
Kavitta believes that our core purpose here on Earth is to learn. No matter how much knowledge you acquire, there's always more to gain. Growing up with learning disabilities made for a rocky relationship with that realization at first, but now it's the exact reason why she's dedicated her life to building the educational experience that every student and teacher deserves. She founded Nectir while she was still a student at UC Santa Barbara after spending her entire freshman year desperately wanting to drop out because she felt confused and invisible in every class. She's always known that our 400-year-old education system needed a serious revamp, but it wasn't until college that she felt the undeniable drive to make that change happen herself. Nectir was born out of her frustration with the education system, coupled with the knowledge that modern tech has the power to solve some of our most pervasive problems (when it's utilized thoughtfully.) Six years later, she's humbled to have brought together an incredible team of teachers, parents, and fellow students from around the globe to help her build the classroom of the future. Join our community at https://www.nectir.io/. Read her personal blog or listen to the podcasts she's been a guest on here: www.kavitta.com
