Matthew Elorriaga

Matthew Elorriaga is an Instructional Designer at Los Angeles Pacific University (LAPU) with a focus on integrating AI in education to enhance the learning experience. He is passionate about harnessing the power of AI to create innovative and effective learning experiences for students.  He is particularly interested in exploring how AI can be used to personalize learning, provide individualized support, and enhance student engagement.  He has a Master’s in Educational Technology from California State University, Los Angeles. Prior to his current role, he served as an Education Specialist for eight years, teaching SDC classes at the elementary and high school level.

Alyssa Imes

Alyssa creatively leverages AI to reimagine learning and training. With a background in instructional design, she specializes in crafting unique learning experiences through AI-driven gamification and narrative design, using generative AI for scriptwriting and AI for adaptive learning. She turns complex training into captivating adventures like immersive mystery podcasts and has designed gamified training modules that have demonstrated increases in engagement.

Kenna Norman

Kenna Norman is an experienced Instructional Designer at Los Angeles Pacific University, dedicated to creating engaging and effective learning experiences. With a passion for innovation in education, Kenna integrates AI and emerging technologies to enhance instructional design processes. She is actively involved in developing AI-driven learning solutions, creating innovative assignments, and fostering collaboration across teams. In addition to her work in higher education, Kenna is leading an AI case competition and working on publishing research in instructional design.
